Ginger Yakitori

Saturday, May 10th, 2008

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of mushrooms
  • Frozen chicken breast
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 large stalks of celery
  • 1 large head of broccoli
  • 1/2 of a large onion
  • 1/2 lemon

Directions:

While the chicken is still frozen, cut it into small slices. Season with lemon juice, soy sauce, and grated ginger-root.

Put the mushrooms directly into the pan with a small amount of olive oil. As they are cooking, season with garlic salt/powder.

Put the marinated chicken in as well, using a similar amount of olive oil.

After approximately half of the chicken and mushrooms have defrosted, put in the slice onion. Season the onion with garlic salt.

Each one of these items is seasoned with 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of garlic powder. You can also put onion powder on the chicken.

After the chicken and mushrooms have browned and are no longer steaming, you can add sliced carrots and celery. After they have browned a bit, add the broccoli.

Once the broccoli has cooked, add rice and soy beans to make fried rice. You can also season the rice with chives.

Scramble 1 egg and place it on top of the hot rice. Once the egg is fried, serve.
